We offer sweet, affordable packages to make your day special.
Nestled in the heart of Caret, Virginia, our vineyard offers an idyllic setting for your special day. Whether you want to elope surrounded by your closest friends and family or enjoy dinner and dancing for up to 40 guests, Caret Cellars will provide a sweet backdrop for your wedding.

The Particulars
Caret Cellars can accommodate up to 40 guests, including the couple, inside the winery; we include children one year old and older in the guest count. Our packages include wine, tables and chairs, content creation for social media and use of our catering kitchen. Our table inventory is four round 5-foot tables (each table seats six comfortably); three square tables, 30" x 30" (when set end-to-end seats 10); and three rectangular tables, 24" x 42" (which when set end-to-end seats 6).
Caret Cellars offers two do-it-yourself packages, two inclusive weekday packages, and one elopement package. If you are interested in a "courthouse-style" wedding, please contact Carolyn Berry; she hosts those wedding at her farm.

Do-it-Yourself Packages
Couples are welcome to use vendors of their choice. Learn more by reading the venue's Frequently Asked Questions; click here. Once you have signed a contract with Caret Cellars, we will provide you with our list of preferred vendors. Both DIY packages include floor-length white tablecloths, centerpieces using faux florals and greenery, dinnerware (glasses, plates, napkins, utensils), a $200 wine credit, lemonade, tea, and cake. The fee includes cleaning after the wedding, but there will be an additional charge if the cleaning is excessive.
1. Sangiovese
Caret Cellars offers Sangiovese Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays, which means we must close the winery. This weekend package gives you access to the winery on the day of your wedding from 10 a.m. to one hour after your reception ends or until 10 p.m., whichever occurs first. Your ceremony and reception will be limited to five hours and must begin no later than 4 p.m. The fee is $3,000.
2. Super Tuscan
Super Tuscan is a weekday package. You may hold your wedding Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, or Thursday. You will have access to the winery from 10 a.m. to one hour after your reception ends or until 10 p.m., whichever occurs first. Your ceremony and reception will be limited to five hours and must begin no later than 4 p.m. The fee is $1,200.
Inclusive Micro Specials
Caret Cellars offers sweet weekday packages (Monday through Thursday) to make your wedding memorable and to keep costs affordable. Both packages include floor-length white tablecloths, centerpieces using faux florals and greenery, dinnerware (glasses, plates, napkins, utensils), wine, lemonade, tea, and cake. You select your four-hour timeframe (between 10 a.m. and 9 p.m.) and hire your officiant and photographer separately. (Content creation for social media is included.) You may invite up to 20 guests. The fee includes cleaning after the wedding, but there will be an additional charge if the cleaning is excessive.
3. Rivah Red
Rivah Red includes five bottles of wine and an assortment of appetizers. The fee for Rivah Red is $2,000.
4. Rosato
Rosato is a lunch or dinner package. Couples may choose their menu from select entrees, sides, and salads. The fee for Rosato is $3,500 and includes five bottles of wine.
Elopement Special
5. Pinot Grigio
Pinot Grigio is for couples who want to elope with the closest of family and friends. Come dressed to say your vows and invite as many as 10 guests to celebrate with you. After the ceremony, enjoy cake and two bottles of wine inside the winery, on the wraparound patio, or stroll through the vineyard. You will have two hours for the ceremony, reception and pictures Monday through Thursday. Pinot Grigio includes floor-length white tablecloths, centerpieces using faux florals and greenery, dinnerware (glasses, plates, napkins, utensils), two bottles of wine, and cake. The fee for Pinot Grigio is $850.
The Couple's Suite
The Couple's Suite is on the second floor of the winery. It is available as a "getting ready" space for all packages except the elopement special.
Caret Cellars can recommend nearby short-term rentals for couples and guests who would enjoy spending the night close to the winery.

Not all your guests will be local to Essex County. Whether they stay a day, a weekend or a week, we want them to feel at home.
